Experience & Background
I have 3 yrs experience of working with clients and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Certificate in Integrative Counselling Skills. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework and guidelines. I am fully insured and enhanced DBS checked.
My background as a pharmacy technician and mental health mentor in higher education has given me a well-rounded understanding of both emotional and physical wellbeing.
I currently work with clients through a cancer wellbeing service based at a local hospital and support university students as a mental health mentor, helping them navigate the challenges of academic life alongside their mental health needs.
My practice is also shaped by my own lived experience of disability, grief, and a life-changing diagnosis. This brings depth, empathy, and authenticity to the way I support others.
I’ve gained valuable experience working with individuals in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, as well as carers of children with disabilities and life-limiting conditions through a local charity—experiences that continue to inform my compassionate, person-centred approach.
I believe change starts in a space where you feel heard, seen, and safe. It would be a privilege to support you on your therapeutic journey.
