Jennifer
After a decade of commitment to professional and personal understanding of human psychology, counselling and psychotherapy, I have gained meaningful insight into how powerful and transformative therapy can be with a trusted professional. I am trained in delivering safe & effective, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy and Attachment Theory. Having experienced personal therapy for myself, I have learnt through first hand experience how being a client can feel. Many people come to therapy with a hidden box of emotions, experiences and uncovered trauma that they have carried with them for a long time. Together, we can safely explore what brings you to therapy at this point in your life, and create tailored goals to ensure a brighter and happier further for yourself. I can offer you a non-judgmental, patient and truly empathetic space to uncover a range of experiences and emotions you have faced or are currently facing. I hold a Bachelors Degree of Science in Psychology with Counselling and Psychotherapy (BPS accredited) and will soon be awarded a Masters Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP accredited). Being accredited by professional bodies such as the BACP ensures that training, ethical standards and professional practices are delivered at the highest standard for you, the client. I have a wide range of experiences which have shaped the therapist I am today. These include: - Working a support role in a psychiatric hospital - Offering long-term counselling to an Addiction Charity - Delivering trauma-informed counselling to a Rape and Sexual Violence Charity - Running post-therapy support group workshops - Teaching pre-therapy trauma awareness, grounding skills and self-care Whenever you are feeling ready to meet yourself on this healing therapeutic journey, I will be here, if you chose myself to share the privilege of joining you.
