Shavy
At different points in life, we may find ourselves carrying experiences that do not settle easily, showing up as strain in relationships, pressure from health or responsibility, or a sense of disconnection that is difficult to name. What often makes these moments heavier is having to hold them alone. You might not be sure what you need, and yet there may come a point when you realise that continuing as before no longer feels possible.
In over ten years of supporting adults across seven countries, I have come to see that the struggles people carry rarely exist in isolation. They are woven through relationships, histories, health, culture, and the environments we move within. This understanding guides how I listen and respond, offering a space where reflection can bring clarity and where what feels tangled, overwhelming, or stuck can begin to shift.
My practice is grounded in a person-centred foundation, where each person’s unique story is met with respect and openness. Just as no two fingerprints are the same, no single way of working can meet everyone equally. Our work can therefore include integrating CBT and gentle psychoeducation where helpful.
Alongside my therapeutic work, I support students within higher education as a specialist mental health mentor, helping them navigate transition, identity development, and academic pressures. My background in medical settings has deepened my understanding of how closely linked emotional, mental and physical wellbeing can be, allowing me to work with both sensitivity and practicality while holding the whole person in view.
If you are thinking about speaking to someone, you are welcome to reach out. I would meet you with care, attention, and respect for your experience, in a space where you can come exactly as you are.
Sessions are available online, by telephone, or in person, with flexible weekday and weekend options.
